Euros (pronounced “Eros”, The Greek God of Love!) was born and raised in the spectacular mountains of North Wales. He started sailing extensively in his teens around Wales, later delivering and racing boats between South England, the Channel Islands and France. At a young age he started playing the cornet and became successful as a soloist and band member travelling around Europe. After school he carried on to study at the University of Salford, Manchester where he gained his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Music. After College Euros managed The Royal Channel Island Yacht Club bar and restaurant where he gained valuable knowledge of the hospitality industry. Euros then moved to the ocean side of the yachting industry. There he spent over a year as a marine technician, while completing many ocean crossings. Together with Emily, Euros has lived and crewed on board a number of yachts including a 45ft gaff rig ketch. For a stretch they worked as Panama Canal yacht handlers traversing the canal repeatedly. In the Pacific they crewed aboard a 35ft catamaran from Sydney, Australia, up the coast to Brisbane, before heading out to the South Pacific Ocean where they visited the Islands of New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Solomon’s, Kiribati, Marshall Islands and Guam. In 2005 they joined the successful 65’ charter catamaran, “True North’.

Euros always travels with his cornet nearby, and if lucky you’ll be able to here him play either with the band at the Last Resort Restaurant or he might just wake you up in the morning with revelry!! Euros holds his RYA Yacht Master, Advanced first aid certificate and is also a PADI Divemaster.

Emily was born on the lovely Island of Jersey, situated in the Channel Islands between England and France. Soon after, she moved to North Wales, where she gained a passion for horses. She competed in dressage, show jumping, and cross-country events. In the summer holidays her passion shifted from the saddle to the helm, from riding white horses on the beach to riding white horses on the sea, sailing around Jersey with her father. Emily went on to study at the University of Northampton where she gained her Bachelor of Arts degree with honours in Education and English. After graduation from university, Emily had three years offshore banking experience, as a fund administrator in Jersey. Since then, the meaning “offshore” has changed for her. Since 2005 she has been a sous chef aboard a luxury charter catamaran and has studied with an Australian chef, specializing in oriental and Thai cuisine. Emily’s menu touches on flavours from around the world. Emily holds a RYA Day Skipper Certificate, advanced first aid certificate and she is also a PADI Rescue Diver.

Euros and Emily welcome you on board Swish, where together they will help you create memories to treasure forever.
